Omegle never ceases to amaze me. XD
if you think all boobs are supposed to be perky and big with perfectly centered nickel-sized nipples you probably have never actually seen a boob in real life because boobs are diverse as frick
Or maybe they’ve only seen one boob
Well ‘ello there! I’m The Doctor! I see you there, readin’ through all my info, weeeeeell, not…
Heeeeey looooookie there, all my amazing Tumblr followers… I’ve got a FB cosplay page… -Cough- Also contains pictures of me with John Barrowman, a gaggle of Daleks, and Sylvester McCoy! Help me get the likes up!
It has been on my bucket list for years that I want to go to one of the cons and COSPLAY.
This has been my nerdy little happy dream.
But now I’ve been watching that show “Heroes of Cosplay” and I’m so sad. The people on the show are so judgmental; especially toward women who can’t pull off…
DO. NOT. GIVE UP THAT DREAM!
Your reaction is exactly what I was afraid of. The environment on HoC is 100% hostile and extremely inaccurate—while yes, there are snotty bitches who will judge you, only 1% will lack the decency to keep it to themselves.
The majority of cosplayers do this for fun, not competition, and will embrace you with open arms. Words can’t express the joy in having someone come up to you and love you because they love that character, and appreciate you for bringing it to life.
Even if you don’t look like a character, it’s extremely liberating to become that character for a little while—to shed reality for a day and be, actually, super. I have mild social anxiety myself, but cosplay brings me out of my shell, because I’m not boring, awkward me—I’m Cyclops, I’m Spider-man, I’m Bolin, I am the Doctor! If you want to ease into it, pick a character with a mask or something that conceals your face somewhat. Having a “secret identity” can add an extra layer of intrigue.
So please, cosplay! Do it for me, for your kids, and most importantly, for yourself! Heck, make theme costumes with your kids and do events together! Cosplay is fun, group cosplay is even more fun!
Look! Don’t give up. I don’t care who you are. Cosplay is just for fun, it shows who you really are. Hell, that’s how I’ve met the majority of my friends! Don’t let some silly show get your hopes down! Whatever you choose to do, know you’ll be absolutely fantastic. Now go out there and have some fun!
